How can event management become more sustainable by improving waste sorting practices?
This question drove Lise Keuwez to dedicate her thesis to the topic under François Lambotte’s supervision from UCLouvain FUCaM Mons Communication Department.
Recognizing the urgent challenge waste management represents, we organized a dedicated session focused on improving waste sorting in event management. By bringing together businesses, beneficiaries, and academic experts, we collaboratively explored concrete and actionable solutions.
The participatory methodology combined academic expertise, field realities, and business innovation to transform a “not very sexy topic” into an energizing intellectual dynamic.
Result
Actionable insights developed for better event waste sorting, fruit of lively intellectual exchange on a complex topic. Strengthened collaboration between academia, industry players, and community actors opens the way to sustainable and immediately applicable solutions.
